How to backup your website

Website backup is a copy of website data at a safe place which can be used to rebuild that site. Those data include all files and folder of the server, email accounts, remote database, etc. If due to hard disk failure or any other reason data lost from the server webmaster can restore his or her site from the backup copy. So backing up website is a periodic job for a webmaster. There are few hosts who keep automatic backup of their client sites. When required client ask backup data from their host and restore it to the server. If your host does not offer such facility then you should keep backup at least once in a week. Almost all data including POST, user comments, user messages, addon pages, are kept in MySql database.
MySql database connection information is stored in fw_blog/database/config.php file.
The folder fw_blog/uploads holds your uploaded files.
The header fields of your posts and pages you have created are kept as PHP file in the fw_blog/headers folder.
The content of the pages are kept as PHP files in fw_blog/pages folder.
Any change in template files, i.e. editing your existing template, creating a new template or uploading an image file will make a change fw_blog/templates folder.

So whenever you need to backup your site data you should keep a backup copy of those file and folders and the MySql database from your server control panel. Or to avoid complexity you can simply keep backup the folder fw_blog and the database at your local computer.

Keep backup copy of all files and folder at your blog root. It includes,
(i). Folder fw_blog;
(ii). File fw_blog.php;
(iii). File index.html and

Keep a backup copy of your MySql database. You can use PHP-MYADMIN or any other database manager script to create this backup.
